Grocery Rescue Program
Iron County Care and Share’s grocery rescue program keeps nutritious surplus food from being thrown away, and instead, distributed to those most in need. Every weekday, ICCS sends our 14 foot refrigerated truck to various grocers in town to pick up close-dated dairy and bakery and items, as well as fresh produce deemed aesthetically unfit for patrons, or rotated out of inventory, but still wholesome and nutritious.
We always welcome food donations from manufacturers, distributers, farmers and retailers. If you have a donation, please contact Ray Sim at 586-4962.
